In a composting environment, which provides the necessary heat, moisture, and microbial activity, our bags can break down within 6 to 12 months. We have a new composting program and compost our organic waste weekly. I did find that they do start to break down quickly. They are reasonable priced and the quantity covers almost a year’s worth of bags.

These bags work well and I have seen first hand that they are biodegradable. Make sure you change them out often if any liquid goes in them because they will break down and fall apart.
